Hi Betsy, I'm so glad to hear that the GF CF diet had such a positive effect on your children- that's fantastic! Helping hands are very useful for making summer rolls- I love to serve these at parties and show people how to make their own. Everyone has fun that way. For Chili Garlic sauce, I like the one by Huy Fong Foods, Inc ( www.huyfong.com ). Their products are easy to recognize by the rooster icon on the front! Their Sriracha is my favorite hot chili sauces as well. I haven't contacted the company but the ingredients are very straight forward and many GF folks use them without problems. I plan to post more about Austria and Germany but have had so much fun in the kitchen lately I haven't gotten to it... Would love to hear more about your experiences.

Hi Donna- awww, cute... I love my long haired kitties, although they are getting older and the fluffy orange one now spends most of his time sleeping, the slug-a-bed! haha.

Hey Cathy- I'm so glad you enjoyed the recipe. I was really surprised because some of my friends in India actually tried that recipe (and liked it!)- And it came from a vegan cookbook author, to a gluten-free blog, back to its country of inspiration, India.. funny how these things work out. What a fantastic idea- I will try to factor in prep-time and cooking time in the future. It never would have occurred to me, but it would be helpful, and is such a practical suggestion. I love it! Thanks!

Hi Brenda,

I just made your Chickpea and Spinach Curry last night - it was so YUM! I'd like to see your recipe posts include prep-time and cooking time. That would be helpful for me.

Thanks for the ideas....keep them coming!

Hi,
I'm looking forward to seeing what new ideas you are coming up with for your blog! By the way, I have two "house kitties." One is a Maine Coon who comes from Maine, and the other one is a Russian Siberian cat. Her mother was the first Siberian to be brought into the US in 1990, and she was in Maine. The strange thing is, we are originally from the state of Maine!!

I would love to learn more about the Japanese culture and cooking, so, since you are great resource, having lived there for a while, please post away!

Hi Sea,

I have to say that I love your site. I cook for my two GFCF children who prior to the diet were very affected by autism. The diet changed their lives and they are both now on grade level in school.

I am mostly gluten-free too and may make our whole house GF. We are all already CF. My children love to look at the pictures on your blog. After seeing the old post about summer rolls, we are all set to make some tomorrow. My kids are really excited to have the rolls and to find a recipe where they can really help.

I do have one quick question. What brand chili garlic sauce do you use? I have been looking for one that I can be sure is gluten-free.

Thanks again for all of your wonderful posts.

Betsy

BTW, we tried to go GF while living in Germany. I really enjoyed seeing what you were able to find in Austria. It ended up being a little too hard at that point, but were able to find lots of yummy products.
