Hi

rather than have to go through a health professional for Klair products, I have purchased Klaire products directly from this website, Naturamart.com. Here's the link to the infant probiotic product you mentioned:
http://www.naturamart.com/ther-biotic-infant-formula-21oz-by-klaire-labs.html

Hope this helps! And yes, these muffins look YUMMY!

Hi Katie,
From my understanding there are two main ways that babies manifest allergy- either in abnormal poop or with skin eczema. We had a "gut" reaction (the poop) since she was very little, possibly partially due to her being bombarded with antibiotics in NICU after I had a C-section. (my theory since probiotics helped us SO MUCH.) I wouldn't see allergies as a cause of every possible fussy night or anything- but if you have one of the two issues I mentioned above, you might try allergy testing which starts being helpful around this age. Baby Yum will have allergy testing soon and I hope it will help pinpoint any additional problems with my diet or hers. We could tell severe reactions and pinpoint some allergies with a food diary, but there are many things I'm not sure about.

Hope this helps.

I'm new to this site, and I have a question I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out on. I strongly suspect that my 8 month old has multiple food allergies. For those of you who are 'in the same boat' how did you find out for sure that your baby had food allergies, and how did you know specifically which foods they were allergic to? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hi Jessica,
That is a very interesting question. The recipe was developed to be egg free, with extra baking powder and soda to compensate for the absence. You could try one egg and decreasing liquid by 2 tbsp, but I can't promise it will work. If it were me, I'd probably either follow the recipe as written egg-free (egg replacer is a great addition to gluten-free baking even with eggs so if you're a GF baker you probably want some anyway- Bette Hagman often adds it to her bread recipes) OR find another basic muffin recipe (Even a gluten one) that uses eggs, sub the quinoa/arrowroot blend for flour, add the xanthan gum, and sub apple juice concentrate + apple juice for the liquid. Hope this helps! I'd love it if you'd report back and tell me what you did. :)
