Romio's pizza in Greenwood now has a total GF menu. Ask for a GF menu, they have a complete hard covered menu, regular menu is red, GF is blue. Had a fabulous focaccia sandwich and my friend had baked pasta she said was a treat. DaVinci is spreading their pizza crusts to more and more Romio pizzas in the Seattle area. The Greenwood Romio's is the only one with a complete GF menu thanks to DaVinci's training. Have heard that most Garlic Jim's in the Seattle area have a good thin crust GF pizza - have not tried them yet. Enjoy!

Pizza Works is gong to discontinue using Kinnikinnick crusts for a couple of reasons. Kinnikinnick is transitioning from hand made round to machine made square crusts and changing the sizes. They have changed their recipe and the new crusts are now on the gooey / doughy side - not near as good. So we will be switching to Sunny Valley Wheat free crusts for our small and mini pizzas.

Romio's Pizza in Greenwood (not to far away from Da Vinci's) has gluten-free pizza crust available now! When I ordered one, they told me the owner of Da Vinci's GF Bakery trained them on avoiding cross-contamination.

It took me a long time to decide what to get, because I am not used to having so many exciting choices! The pizza was delicious. I will go back for sure.

I would like to add a couple of places. First, my place, Pizza Works http://www.pizzawrks.com has been serving Gluten Free pizzas since March, 2007. We recently added Gluten Free Spaghetti & Meatballs. We have a dedicated prep table and oven just for our gluten free products. Our pizzas are available in Mini, small (10") and large (14") sizes. The mini and small are Kinnikinnick crusts or by request, Ener-G yeast free crusts. The large are from 2 sources. A thin crust from Still Riding Pizza in CT (http://www.stillridingpizza.com) and our thick crusts are from Haley's Corner Bakery in Kent, which is a new gluten free bakery.

Haley's corner is a short trip down highway 18 from Sunny Valley. The owners of both bakerys are delightful and very dedicated to making the best gluten free products. While I get crusts from Haley's at present, I could easily substitute the Sunny Valley product as they are very similar. Enough has been said about Sunny Valley, so I'll add that Haley's Corner has some delectable baked goods, and breads, also. If I were coming from out of town, I'd stop at both.
I just arrived in the Seattle area to visit relatives and the first place I asked them to take me was Sunny Valley Wheat Free in Maple Valley. WOW, what a find! I have never seen such an amazing assortment of gluten-free products and never such a wide variety of frozen convenience meals and pizza's. I think I bought one of everything. The owner was sampling warm cinnamon rolls and banana bread today. Delicious! I just finished a Lemony Chicken and Artichoke Cannelloni for lunch and can hardly wait until dinner for the Raviolis. That pasta they are making there is out of this world - tastes like (or better!) than wheat pasta. I would love to see their amazing selection of frozen convenience meals distributed to supermarkets and other stores. The owner said that is what they are hoping to do in the future! I'm glad they offer mail order of some of their inventory so I can get some of their great products shipped to me when I return home. Unfortunately at this time they do not ship their frozens. I may have to visit my relatives more often now that I found this amazing little place! The Seattle area sure is lucky to have Sunny Valley Wheat Free.

You hadn't mentioned Old Wives Tale in your Portland review, at least not that I remember and it looks like it is just blocks away from our hotel, thanks! I already had Flying Apron on my google map! It looks like the NW is a gluten free mecca! Two weeks, yippeee. I have never been less worried about how I will eat during this trip. On our way to Newport, we are stopping by a GF bakery in Corvallis too.
