These were really yummy! I cut the sugar in 1/2 though (3/4 c.for the crumble and 1/2 c. for the filling) and I still thought they were too sweet. I will definitely be making these again though. :)

SuperSea does it again! I made these peanut bars on a visit to my mother and she loved them and plans to make them for her card party friends.

I have to say that I thought they were great too, despite the small double-take at the amount of sugar and fat, BUT it made them extremely good.

I tweaked only a little. here are my changes in case you want to try them. I used a good non-hydrogenated margaine, brown rice flour (a fine grind) and put just a sprinkle of salt over the finished bars to give a bit of sweet-saltiness. I may have added 5 or 10 minutes to the cooking to make them very crunchy.

They were good the first day, better on day 2, and even better on day 3 (unrefrigerated, loosely wrapped so they stayed crunchy.)

You have a hit, I think, with this recipe. A big thanks from me and my mom.

I don't usually make peanut butter treats because my husband doesn't tolerate it. I realized how much I miss PB when my mom made some flourless cookies for me recently. These look really good, and my mom's cookies seemed to have started a craving. Thanks for the recipe.

Hi Sea,

Thank you for the nice compliments in your posting! What did you think of the dolmas? Last night was my first taste and I didn't think they were too bad. I dipped them in a sun-dried tomato hummus. I'm already plotting different fillings to use such as sprouted quinoa.
Cheers!

My menu is up! It doesn't contain lentils unfortunately, I put it together before knowing the ingredient.... but I am definitely going to have to take a look into these recipes and try a few.
