I have a friend who is gluten free and needs some help in the diet area. There are so many different and conflicting messages on which diet plan is the best. I will direct her to your site for helpful suggestions. thanks!

It is so exciting to see my daughter's name mentioned on the "Book of Yum" Blog! Adeena is the oldest of 12, and the grand puppet master. It is she who has mastered the art of baking for a family of celiacs. I, on the other hand, grew up baking with wheat flour, so when I realized that I had to eliminate all wheat and gluten from my family's (and MY) diet, I just gave up on the baking. I fear it is difficult to teach an old dog new tricks.

Having said that, I do find your blog to be inspiring. Maybe some day I will dive in and begin to create some delicious, gluten-free masterpieces. Until then, I just read, and drool, and dream...and phone Adeena when I want brownies. Or pumpkin torte. Or buns.... you get the picture!

Here is my contribution to the gluten free menu swap: http://www.angelaskitchen.com/Angelas_Kitchen/Blog/Entries/2007/11/18_Menu_Plan_Monday.html

Your menu looks tasty! We were vegan back in the pre-celiac days. I made a fabulous seitan roast! (sigh) It will be super fun looking through your recipes. I am really excited to see your post on the potstickers and eggrolls. Spring rolls are still one of our favorite lunches around here. Thanks for sharing.

My mushrooms aren't in most of my weekly menu (except in our salads), but they are very liberally used on Thanksgiving. Gotta love those portobellos.
