Hi Laurie, Great to see you! I usually post recipes after I make them, so it will be a little bit until I post the recipe- here's hoping it turns out! I'm going to try some new techniques, and I will report back as soon as I try them, I promise. :) I had some bread in Austria that inspired me. Unfortunately it also seemed to make me sick, doh. But that just makes me more determined to make killer artisan bread on my own! -Sea

Sarah- Thanks! I was so intrigued by the saffron yogurt I just had to try the recipe. I subbed brown lentils and sour cream and the recipe worked great. Now I really want to try those fancy lentils sometime. :) Gratins are the best, aren't they?

Hi Bonnie- cool, hope you liked it. The recipe was a good internet "find." :D

Hi Zoe- lentil soup is great on a cold, rainy night like tonight. :)

Hi Esther- I guess the recipe was parsnip, not turnip. My mistake. :) Oh well, I'm excited to try the rutabaga. Your site is great- thanks for the link!

Hi Carrie- Just wait, I'll have the Japanese night recipes up really soon. I ended up turning them into a bento- very tasty AND cute on top of it!

Hi Jenny- I'm looking forward to those salads too. I love beets, and cucumber salads can be lovely, especially with fresh dill. Crossing my fingers the recipes turn out!

Thanks for all the comments! You made my night.

I believe rutabaga is what we call swede in which case I much prefer it to turnip, a gratin sounds good, I may have to copy that idea.
The gnochi sounds intriguing as well.
My menu is rather boring this week but it's here if you want to see it. http://lilackitchen.blogspot.com/
