I think there is an eggplant somewhere in the mound of vegs I need to use up so if I get the brain power I might try that. Your pot pie sounds great. I had a pre-made gluten free pie yesterday and Small said he had never had pie, they were all having pizza. I don't think it's true but pie is very uncommon here because I gave up trying to get a good crust, perhaps it is time to try again. Oh one thing you might be interested in over here shepherd's pie never has pastry topping it is lamb mince based with potato topping where as cottage pie is basically the same but beef.
