Angel Food Cake
12 egg whites
1 1/2 cups sugar (white granulated)
1 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour, sifted (GF blend or white rice works well)
Beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar. Add 3/4 cups of the sugar slowly. Beat to soft peaks.

Sift the flour, salt, and the remaining 3/4 cups sugar together.

Fold the sifted flour mixture into the egg whites slowly being careful not to deflate the egg whites.

Bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes in an angel food cake pan. Cool inverted.
