Gluten-Free Raw Foods Dairy-Free Spinach Basil Pesto
Ingredients
1/2 cup packed fresh basil leaves, preferably organic
1 cup packed fresh spinach leaves, preferably organic
1/4 cup pine nuts (preferably raw)
1/8 cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus
1/2 teaspoon sea salt (add more to taste)
1 pinch fresh ground black pepper
handful nutritional yeast (optional- not a real “raw foods” ingredient)
Directions
Blend and enjoy on raw zucchini pasta, in a salad, on cooked pasta (shocking I know) or on a cooked pizza.
